Jack Splash & Jamie Foxx in the lab
by Jack Splash on Jul.29, 2009, under Uncategorized
This one is from one of my sessions with Jamie Foxxx. Now that is one koooool dude!
I swear I almost fell on the floor laughing when he started giving Harold a hard time about getting married. I felt like I should have paid him for the free comedy show I was getting. He was freestyling the whole thing too that’s what made it so ill. On the real tho, we were all happy for Harold though cuz he’s a good dude and wifey is SUPA cool. Another crazy thing about this session was that because both Harold Lilly and me and complete workaholics, after we finished working on the song for Jamie I think we stayed up until about 6am working on a joint that ultimately became “Girl, I Just Met U” for my album. Seeee kids….hard work DOES pay off.
THANKFUL AND THOUGHTFUL

Well, here we finally are! First of all, I want to thank allllllllll of u guys who have been so patient with me while I was working on this album. I know I kind of “disappeared” for a sec, but I was really tryin to put togetha sumthin special for my new album! I didn’t want to just do AN ALBUM, I wanted to make THE ALBUM!!! Some foreva shit!!! We just shot the video for the first single called “I Could Have Loved You” and Missy Elliott and Jazmine Sullivan DEFINITELY got busy. I don’t wanna ruin the surprise, but if this video comes out like I think it’s going to, then ya’ll might be in for a wiiiiild ride…LOL! Missy is so dope and Jazmine is definitely the future. I can’t thank them both enough for just makin the whole experience fun and exciting. My boy Dirt Nasty and Andy Milanokis rolled through to provide some laughs backstage and I think they might have even stole my bottle of whiskey when I stepped out of my trailer for a sec…cheap ass scumbags! It was all good tho, cuz OG Warren G rolled thru to put a lil sumthin in the air. I honestly felt so blessed that day that it reminded me of my favorite Sly And The Family Stone song called “Thankful And Thoughtful” (if u haven’t heard it go check it out). I was just sittin there trippin off of how lucky I am to be makin the music that I luv the way I like to make it (on some nexxxx level) and how some of my biggest influences have been showin me so much luv lately (i’ll tell u more about that later). It’s important to step back in those moments and just realize…..daaaaaam, this is what it is really all about! So that bein said, I hope u guys enjoy the music I put up from my new album “Technology And Love Might Save Us All…” and pleeeease stay tuned because I’m about to start gettin BUSY. Until next time, stay thankful and thoughtful and TRUST me all your dreams will come true.
Harold Lilly, Alicia Keys, Jack Splash & L Green in the lab:

This picture is from my sessions with Alicia Keys. We had soooooo much fun in those sessions. That’s where we did “Teenage Love Affair” and “Wreckless Love”. I think the funniest part about those sessions was when Harold and Alicia convinced me to go “running” with them in the morning in Santa Monica, CA. Now, for those of u who know me, I am NOT a

morning person (unless u consider 12pm or 1pm the morning…LOL!) Needless to say I felt inspired by Harold and Alicia’s dedication so I woke up hellllla early and went running with them on “the stairs” in Santa Monica. Let me just say this, if u are not officially TRAINING, then don’t run those stairs, cuz while Alicia and Harold handled them like a pro, I damn near crippled myself! I’m definitely not a quitter tho, so I ran the stairs and honestly i felt fine that day….it was the NEXT day that I almost couldn’t walk!!! I seriously could barely lift my foot high enough to get into my Escalade. Next time I think I might stretch before I try those stairs!!
